Overview

The PON aggregation and remote extension WDM400-11 series equipment leverages optical path aggregation technology, efficiently utilizing the limited spare fiber core resources already available in existing networks to rapidly address broadband user access needs. This solution enables centralized configuration of OLT resources, significantly boosting the efficiency of PON port utilization while helping customers conserve valuable fiber resources and simplifying centralized OLT maintenance. Additionally, thanks to the device’s unique PON optical power amplification feature, it extends the effective coverage distance of PON networks, overcoming the inherent limitations of PON reach. Moreover, the system offers flexible network configuration adjustments tailored to customer requirements, enhancing spectrum utilization and ultimately saving valuable bandwidth resources.

Product Features

  ● The equipment boasts high capacity: Utilizing G.652 optical fiber transmission, it supports multiplexing of up to 8 channels, with each channel capable of transmitting at speeds up to 2.5 Gbit/s, resulting in a total throughput of 20 Gbit/s. Alternatively, when paired with full-bandwidth optical fiber, the existing subrack can be upgraded to accommodate 18 channels, boosting the data rate per channel to 10 Gbit/s and increasing the overall system capacity to an impressive 180 Gbit/s.

  ● Flexible Networking: The system can be configured to support point-to-point, chain, ring, single-fiber bidirectional, and one-to-many topologies. Devices offer flexible access for multiple rates and services, with a variety of transmission distance options—up to 20 km to 80 km for point-to-point transmission without the need for repeaters.

  ● Remote Monitoring: Utilizing an SNMP-based graphical interface, this solution has low hardware requirements for the network management computer and enables remote administration.

  ● High-Level Aggregation: Maximally integrates EPON (2:48) and GPON (2:32) services onto a single fiber pair, reducing power consumption while enabling large-scale FTTH deployment and centralized OLT infrastructure. This approach promotes network flattening, ultimately lowering operational and maintenance costs as well as data center expenses.

  ● Long-distance capability: GPON supports a maximum reach of 40 km, while EPON extends up to 25 km, ensuring comprehensive optical coverage for services.

  ● High Reliability: Each channel features physical isolation and transparent transmission, ensuring zero service disruption. It includes dual-power hot backup and fiber-optic line protection, delivering exceptional reliability. Additionally, the desktop device boasts low power consumption and strong environmental adaptability.

  ● Easy installation and maintenance: The remote device is plug-and-play—simply connect it, and it’s ready to use. It features seamless cable management and real-time monitoring, enabling quick fault localization for each individual service channel.
