Fiber Optic Cable Distribution Box

Overview

A fiber optic cable distribution (OCC) cabinet is a handover device designed to terminate and interconnect backbone and distribution-layer optical cables. After the cables are introduced into the cabinet, they undergo fixing, termination, and fiber distribution processes before being connected using jumper fibers, pigtail cables, and optical splitters—thus linking the backbone and distribution networks. It serves as the interface equipment in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks, enabling seamless connections between main and branch optical cables. The OCC also facilitates functions such as fiber routing, distribution, splicing, and storage, ensuring it can flexibly meet the evolving demands of current and future communication network infrastructures.
