The sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic has turned this year’s Spring Festival into a silent battle. The situation is particularly severe in Hubei Province, especially in Wuhan, where communication networks, medical supplies, and related equipment are critically scarce. Jiangxi Shanshui Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., a leading domestic manufacturer of fiber-optic communication access and transmission equipment, has taken the initiative to resume operations and mobilized proactively, demonstrating its commitment as a socially responsible enterprise. Since reopening, the company’s production—including various models from the Shanshui PAS200 and Shanshui IPA6000 series network packet access devices—has been widely deployed by telecom operators like China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile across more than 50 hospitals in Hubei, including Huoshenshan Hospital and nine makeshift field hospitals. These solutions have played a vital role in ensuring smooth communications for medical and epidemic-control facilities throughout the region. Meanwhile, in February, our company assembled a dedicated technical support team that traveled to Datong City, Shanxi Province, to assist local emergency communication efforts in combating the pandemic. Working closely with Shanxi Mobile, we helped swiftly establish a dedicated line for the Datong Political and Legal Committee’s urgent video conferencing system aimed at coordinating anti-epidemic measures. This collaboration has made a significant contribution to Datong’s ongoing pandemic response, earning us heartfelt gratitude expressed in a letter from Shanxi Mobile.
